We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Vice President, Human Resources for the Americas Division, located in Nashville, TN.
 
The Assistant Vice President, Human Resources (AVP, HR) will lead all aspects of Human Resources for the Americas Division. The system includes 4 hospital health systems located in New Jersey, Idaho, and Kansas. This position is a key driver of strategic business priorities which include Quality, People, Service, Growth and Financial with an emphasis on People. Our goal for the strategic priority of People is to attract, engage, develop and retain high performing talent and to achieve our mission. The AVP, HR fosters an environment of effective relationships and performance excellence.
 
The AVP, HR will guide and maintain strategic HR business partner relationships at all levels within the
division and will have direct leadership of Human Resources functional areas including Employee Engagement, Leadership Development, Employee Relations, and Talent Management. Additionally, this position will have direct input and focus on the implementation and the deployment of strategic people initiatives.
 
Examples of Responsibilities:
  • Engage executives to understand talent needs of the businesses and define strategy
  • Ensure effective use and implementation of enterprise‐wide HR and talent initiatives
  • Serve as the champion for employee engagement and retention
  • Set consistent compensation practices within Americas Division
  • Build, develop and lead a team of HR professionals within Americas Division
  • Drive effective leader and employee communication initiatives
  • Ensure operational excellence, monitoring, and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of l eadership development
  • Coach and develop leaders and teams
  • Uphold and provide guidance on all compliance standards, including OFCCP, DNV, CMS, Department of Labor, HR policies and other regulatory requirements

Education and Specifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience with increasing levels of HR management

  • At least three (3) years HR experience as the lead HR executive reporting to a division or regional executive in a work environment reflective of the scope & complexity of the Americas Division.

  • Experience in a highly‐matrixed organization

  • Proven experience delivering on strategic HR Initiatives in wide scale change initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
